Hello!
My name is Katie Magill and I am a bead-o-holic. I admit it and I'm not ashamed. Those itty bitty bright pieces of glass with holes through them have captivated and captured me.
I've been beading for about fourteen years. I really started getting serious, though, when I purchased my first computer in 1995 and found the AOL bead folders.
I've been a member of the Upper Midwest Bead Society (UMBS) since 1999. The weekend bead retreats every spring and fall are my favorites! Three days of non-stop beading and like minded people to share ideas with.
I've been to the Embellishment bead show twice (1998 in Sacramento and 1999 in Portland). I was at the first Bead & Button show in Portland in 2000 and for their second show in Milwaukee in 2001 and 2002. Even better than the beads is getting to meet all my online friends face to face.
